Styles of Ksink Ksink
Ksink Ksink are commonly used in sets of 2, 3 or 4 depending on personal preference, as well as the size of the drum and size of the Ksink Ksink.
Some drummers prefers flat Ksink Ksink, while others prefer to add shape by bending or curling.
Mounting the Ksink Ksink on your drum
For drums that have an exposed loop ring, the stave or stick of the ksink ksink can be slipped between the loops. |
Some Djembe's have a skin wrap, or fur wrap as shown in the image on the right.
In this case a small cut out needs to be made through the skin to allow the stave to slide behind the loops on the upper ring. This can be a delicate process, so if you are unsure, please ask someone who is familiar with skinning a drum. |
Special Note:
When reheading or replacing the skin on your drum, be sure to set the width of the loops to accept the stave of your Ksink Ksink! If you are having a professional replace the skin, ask them to set the width so your ksink ksink has an easy fit. |
