Mounting the Ksink Ksink on your drum

Picture

For drums that have an exposed loop ring, the stave or stick of the ksink ksink can be slipped between the loops.
Tip:
If you find your Ksink Ksink loose, or moving around, curl the stave slightly so the bottom end puts a small amount of pressure on the drum, as this will keep your Ksink Ksink in place.

Some Djembe's have a skin wrap, or fur wrap as shown in the image on the right.

In this case a small cut out needs to be made through the skin to allow the stave to slide behind the loops on the upper ring. This can be a delicate process, so if you are unsure, please ask someone who is familiar with skinning a drum.

As an alternative to modifying the skin, or using the loops in the upper ring, an elastic band can be used to hold your Ksink Ksink in place.

And, as a final option, for anyone who has a decorative rope wrap on their drum, simple slip the stave of the Ksink Ksink beneath the rope wrap, as shown in this image.

Special Note:
When reheading or replacing the skin on your drum, be sure to set the width of the loops to accept the stave of your Ksink Ksink!
If you are having a professional replace the skin, ask them to set the width so your ksink ksink has an easy fit.
